About Us

Established in 1950.

The Villa's history is long and steeped in tradition. For many years it was the favorite restaurant of Johnny Most, the famous "Voice of the Celtics".

The Villa started in the 1920's as The Studio. For many years it was a popular stop for folks going to "the country" for the day. It is legend to have had its day as a speakeasy during prohibition. It first became The Villa Restaurant in the 50's. Richard Schnetke purchased the restaurant in 1973 and attributes its success to The Villa's devotion to its customers and to his staff, some of whom have worked at The Villa for over 45 years.

In 2022, The Villa was purchased by Good N U Hospitality keeping the staff and decades-old recipes. Now fully renovated, The Villa continues to be a staple in the Wayland community. With its new charm and cozy furnishings, The Villa now hosts as a venue for live music, trivia, and other events for families and guests looking to have a great night out with craft cocktails and classic Italian fare. On Saturday nights, The Villa's lounge transforms into a Jazz venue with professional artists from across Massachusetts.
